A gentle winter breeze sweeps across Midgard… carrying with it ancient tales, shimmering snowflakes, and the excitement of the season.  In Al De Baran, the traditional Snow Festa Event 2025 has begun, celebrating the four brothers who once saved the town by crafting the first magical snowmen.

🕐 On Tuesday dawn (11/25/2025), from 2:00 to 10:00 (UTC-3), the servers will undergo maintenance.


During this time, the game will be temporarily unavailable. The return may take a little longer than usual as all the new seasonal content is prepared.

City Union System & Union Coin

A new way to obtain new equipment with the help of the Merchants' Union!

The merchants of Rune-Midgard’s major cities have decided to lend a helping hand to newcomers and to players who want to dust off their alternate characters. With the new City Union System, you can accumulate Fame with each city, invest in the local economy, and unlock a brand-new set of 26 Emerald-grade equipment pieces designed for faster early-game progression.

No more struggling to start a new alt, these items were created specifically for players who lack early capital but want to level comfortably!

What Is the City Union?

By joining the City Union, your character becomes part of a network of merchants who cooperate with adventurers.

Each major city has its own Fame Rating, representing your relationship with that city.
The more you contribute, the more the city trusts you… and the better the items available from the local Investor NPC.

• Low relationship: you’re just another stranger passing through.
  
  

• High relationship: the Investor treats you like a VIP, granting access to exclusive Emerald equipment.
  
  

City Fame & Investors

By opening Achievements → Quest → Others, you’ll now see a new Fame section for every major city.

Your Fame determines:

• Which Emerald equipment you can purchase from the city’s Investor
  
  

• How the city NPCs react to you (from “Who are you?” to “Welcome back, valued customer!”)
  
  

Each city sells its own selection of fast-leveling equipment, not all locations offer the same pieces, so investing in the right city makes a big difference depending on the build you want.

The Investors, found at key locations in each city:

• Explain which Emerald equipment is available there
  
  

• Accept daily investments made with Union Coins
  
  

• Allow only one investment per day across the 9 cities
  
  

How to Obtain Union Coins

To invest in cities, you’ll need the new special currency: Union Coins.

And to get them, you must visit the City Merchants’ Union Booth, located inside the Eden Group Headquarters.

There, you’ll find three essential NPCs, the core of the entire system:

1. Unionist

This NPC officially registers you into the City Union.

Speaking to the Unionist gives you the quest:

QUEST: City Union
From now on, every time you defeat a monster, there is a 20% chance of receiving a Union Coin directly into your inventory.

Meaning: simply by hunting normally, you’ll start accumulating coins naturally.

2. Union Board

Designed for adventurers who want to speed up the process and earn even more coins.

• Mission content changes daily
  
  

• S-Rank missions appear once per week
  
  

• S-Rank missions reset every Wednesday at 4:00
  
  

• You may accept:
  
  

  • 1 Wanted Mission
    
    

  • 1 Mission from ranks A~C
    
    

3. Government Officer

This NPC pays you for your “hard work.”

After completing Union Board missions, the Government Officer hands out the Union Coins as rewards. They also deal with:

• Adventurers who abandon missions because they were “too hard”
  
  

• People who ask bizarre questions about the requests
  
  

At the end of the day, thanks to the Officer, your effort becomes currency, ready to be invested in any city.

What Do I Do After Collecting Union Coins?

That’s where the fun begins.

With coins in hand, you must:

1. Locate the Investors throughout the major cities
   
   

2. Spend Union Coins to invest in the city economy
   
   

3. Increase your City Fame
   
   

4. Unlock and purchase the new Emerald equipment prepared by the City Merchants’ Union
   
   

It’s a full cycle:

You work → earn Union Coins → invest in the city → city grows closer to you → you gain access to better gear.

In the end, the dynamic looks like this:

Adventurers ↔ Merchants’ Union ↔ City Investment Department

Everyone relies on everyone else… A classic case of “adult circumstances,” so to speak.

Old Glastheim for Beginners: The Weakened Rift Arrives in Rune-Midgard!

Even beginners can challenge it?! The long-awaited research on the mysterious Dimensional Gaps has finally produced results… though rather peculiar ones.

For years, scholars across Rune-Midgard have studied distortions in space-time, trying to understand how these anomalies connect different eras and timelines.


But one researcher in particular decided to follow a rather… creative approach.

Background Story

“Studying the rifts made me realize I needed to become stronger.
 But I’m only a scholar… how strong could a scholar possibly become?”
 — Protest Record of the Strange Clown at the Fissure Researchers’ Meeting

That’s when an unlikely idea emerged: If I can’t become stronger… what if I just make the monsters weaker?

By subtly manipulating causality across dimensions, this eccentric researcher managed to create a weakened version of Old Glastheim where:

• Monsters are drastically weakened.
  
  

• Even new adventurers can progress easily.
  
  

• Research can continue without risk — or at least “almost” without risk.
  
  

After all, if even a Chick can survive inside… anyone can study in there, right?

How to Access

The weakened Glastheim Rift can be accessed through:

📍 Strange Clown — glast_01 (196, 235)

 Located near the castle in Glastheim.

Upon entering the instance:

• The party leader transforms into a Peco Peco.
  
  

• Dying removes the transformation, but going through portals or starting dialogues will reapply it automatically.
  
  

NPCs also interact differently compared to the original Old Glastheim, often commenting on your new… feathered appearance.

Weakened Monsters

The monsters inside this version were intentionally adjusted to be far weaker than those in the original instance. This means:

• Beginners can clear the dungeon even without advanced gear.
  
  

• Experienced players can rush through quickly to collect materials.
  
  

• The boss is also weakened — therefore the exclusive rewards from the original instance are not available here.
  
  

Final Rewards

After defeating the boss:

• Speak with Hugin.
  
  

• You will be transported to a secluded area.
  
  

• There, 7 special statues may grant rewards such as:
