TRAVELERS OF RUNE-MIDGARD…

On Tuesday, April 28, between 2:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. (UTC-3), we will carry out scheduled maintenance on the servers, making the game temporarily unavailable.

But it will be worth the wait: this update brings exciting new content to elevate everyone’s experience even further — new Battle Pass missions, Glastheim, Melon Festa, the revamped Thanatos Tower, and the brand-new Malangdo costumes.

1. Melon Festa!

Event Period: 04/28/2026 (after maintenance) ~ 05/26/2026 (before maintenance) 

A festive atmosphere takes over Geffen with the arrival of the Melon Festa 2026!

During the event days, adventurers with base level 20 or higher can join a series of themed activities celebrating the harvest of the region’s famous melons. The city streets are filled with vines and fruit stands, and several NPCs await your help with special quests. 

Get ready to collect melons, deliver gifts, face Sour Melorings, and even take part in a contest to see who can bring in the biggest melon!

Event Highlights

• Quests with Lavender and Vanilla: collect Sweet Melons and Sour Melons.

• Special delivery in Hugel: gift for Lavender’s parents.

• Commemorative costume: crafted by Jasmine after gathering Meloring Skins.

• Big Melon Contest: hand in Suspicious Melons to Palpadora and earn [Sweet Coins].

• Various trades: Melon Juice, Sweet Melon Juice, Melon Bread, Melon Parfait.

2. Glastheim: Challenge Mode!
Start: 04/28/2026 (after maintenance) 

The Glastheim Challenge Mode arrives as one of the most demanding updates of April!

From 28/04/2026, adventurers level 170+ can face dimensional distortions and purify corrupted souls in a unique instance, with intense mechanics and powerful rewards.

Instance

• NPC: Oscar (glast_01 143/288)

• Required level: 170+

• Cooldown: resets every 3 days, 1-hour duration limit

• Main rewards: Temporal Fragment, Temporal Gemstone, Temporal Spell, Sealed Circlet of Time

Mechanics

• Purification of corrupted souls on both sides of the dimension.

• If one side is purified first, the Prime Corruption Root appears in the central corridor (avoid its explosion).

• Possible bosses: Phantom of Amdarais or Illusion of Himmelmez (harder).

• Oscar’s recommendations during the instance are crucial for survival.

Rewards

• Instance chest: loot varies depending on difficulty and boss defeated.

• Quest completion: Sealed Circlet of Time, bonus points for hidden side quests and high-risk actions.

  • Example: defeating Prime Corruption Root grants extra Circlets.

  • Annoying Oscar may grant an additional Temporal Spell.

Enchantment System

• NPC OSC0005: enhancement and reset of enchantments on Circlets of Time.

• Enchantments can evolve up to level 10, with risk of failure and downgrade.

• Use Temporal Spells to strengthen enchantments.

Item Acquisition

• NPC HUGINN2001: exchange of Sealed Circlets of Time.

• NPC MUNNIN2003: acquisition of weapons with Temporal Spells or random swap with Fragments/Gemstones.

• Dismantling Circlets yields Fragments, Gemstones, and Temporal Spells.

• New cards: Mutating White Knight and Mutating Khalitzburg.

3. Thanatos Tower Redesigned!

Update: 04/28/2026 (after maintenance) 

The place where the memories of the hero who saved the world are sealed will be completely redesigned! 

From 28/04/2026, adventurers will be able to explore a new version of the tower, face unprecedented challenges, and uncover long-hidden secrets. 

Instance

• Entry NPC: Rumin (thana_step 154/367)

• Required Level: 180+

• Cooldown: Once per day

• Entry: Group entry allowed

Quest: Related to the memories of Thanatos

Progress:

• Upon entering, you will encounter Lucile, an entity resembling a residual thought.

• After hearing her story, proceed to the upper floors.

• With the five Magic Stones and the four Fragments found inside the Tower, you can summon the Memory of Thanatos on the top floor.

  • Fee: 1,000 zeny

  • Level: 95+ (7th–8th floors) / 180+ (9th floor and above)

New Items

Combination Materials:

• Fragments of Fate (1–5) → obtained from Angel race monsters

• Fragments of Sin (1–5) → obtained from Demon race monsters

Enchantments

• Designation Mode: Choose the bonus, level assigned randomly.

• One-time Enchantment: Occupies 2 slots, bonus and level assigned randomly.

• Reset: Allows reassigning options.

Exclusive Bonuses:

• Sin Set → enchantments in slots 3 and 4

• Fate Set → enchantments in slots 3 and 4

Notes:

• Sin series cannot receive Fate options.

• Assignment is limited to possible bonuses for each item slot.
